About us

The Movimento Lento is a non-profit organization, for the spread of the walking and cycling travel, not only as a leisure activity but as a real lifestyle.

To achieve this goal we notes routes network with GPS technology allowing you to travel slowly along beautiful and safe trails. Thanks use of a powerful geographic information system, the paths are made freely available to visitors, which may build their routes and print maps, road books, GPS tracks.

Also:

We publish opinions, stories, events, news, on the blog www.movimentolento.it and channels connected to it;

We communicate with our community (20,000 people) through our newsletter and the Facebook page;

We talk about slow travel through the section "Travelogues";

We spread the culture of hospitality free or low-cost organizing training for volunteers and Hospitallers hosting pilgrims at Francigena House, our office and headquarters on tha Via Francigena;

We organize training courses for the use of GPS and the relief of routes, dedicated volunteers who work with us to the project.
